What is thangka? Symbol, Art and History
The word "Thangka," for the first time, they are often unsure how to pronounce it. Some say "thagha," while others say "thangka." The correct pronunciation is "THAHNG-kah." Despite the different pronunciations, they all refer to the same ancient Buddhist painting tradition that originated in northern Nepal and the Tibetan region.
